'The Hoog' in The Assembly Rooms
Teannaich
This young and energetic five piece Ceilidh band formed back in 1996. They pull influences from Jazz, Rock, Funk and Folk, but have a solid basis in traditional Scottish and Irish folk tunes. Over the years they have become a regular in many of the top venues throughout Scotland, playing at The Cally Brewery, Edinburgh The Riverside Club, Glasgow and Celtic Connections. They have a very keen following and are one of the busiest ceilidh bands we know.
Teannaich were a HUGE hit at last years Hoog and are back in full effect in The Music Room.
Whisky Kiss
A Whisky Kiss is Scottish music for the 21st Century- they are slap bang right up to date and beyond - they are no ordinary ceilidh band. Individual band members have played with Lou Reed, INXS, Smokey Robinson and the SCO.
Their twisted tartan sets mix great clubbing riffs over popular favourites like the Gay Gordons. Extremely cool!
'The Family Hoog' in The Assembly Rooms
Incorporating the same line up as last year with the same crazy mix of fun we are delighted to announce the Family Hoog Allstars. Combining ceilidh with a DJ they have the whole room and all ages jumping – wherelse can you Strip the Willow with the base line of Billie Jean or do a Gay Gordons with a hint of White Stripes – hearing is believing! All in aid of good old family fun and of course Bethany Christian Trust for the Homeless. Check out the gallery from last year.
